Born in a traditional Indian family, Ramesh earned a degree in commerce despite his passion for drawing and painting.
It was only when he was introduced to oil paints by a friend that he got hooked to painting again and began to pursue this as his profession. After painting for a few years in oil and acrylics, Ramesh rediscovered the beauty of the watercolor medium. Ramesh enjoys the luminosity and the vibrancy of the medium and has been painting with watercolors for a few years now.

"I paint in a realist style and my subject matter is not limited to any one category. I choose my subjects from very mundane scenes of everyday life that people often overlook and fail to see the beauty that lies therein. My paintings are very Indian in their theme and essence.
